Guida al punteggio di similarità: come leggerlo prima dell’invio

A similarity score is not a simple pass-or-fail number. Review matched sources, quoted text, paraphrased passages and citation context before deciding what to revise. Acceptable similarity depends on your assignment, school policy and instructor requirements. The final school system prevails.

Come leggere un punteggio di similarità

1. Separate score from source qualityA high score may come from references, quotations, templates or repeated assignment wording. A lower score can still contain problematic uncited overlap.
2. Review matched sources one by oneOpen the matched sources and check whether overlap is quoted, cited, paraphrased or unnecessary repetition.
3. Check citation contextMake sure each source has the right in-text citation, bibliography entry and explanation of how the source supports your argument.
4. Decide the next revision stepRevise unclear paraphrases, add missing citations, quote exact wording when needed and recheck before final submission.
This guide is educational and workflow-oriented. It is an independent pre-submission review guide, and the final school system should be treated as authoritative.
